Congratulations, you're getting married !

Thank you for visiting my website. As you can see from the weddings I have been photographing around the world, my style of photography produces images that are timeless, organic and pure. As most of my readers know, I am very selective on the type of couples I work with and my couples invite me to their weddings specifically to photograph storytelling images.

A lot of people ask what kind of photography I specialize in. My answer is this: I don't specialize in weddings...I specialize in relationships. Your wedding is all about relationships and the most important are those with your family and your new spouse. As a happily married father of 3 adorable children, you don't have to worry about me missing these moments. I feel them and I freeze them with each frame I take.

They say that talented photographers make you LOOK. But great photographers make you FEEL. I want these images you see on my site to connect with you on an emotional level. I'm a strong believer that your wedding images should evoke the incredible emotions and love that took place, not showcasing the current trends in imagery. A trendy photograph is dated. Substance will always stand the test of time.

Engagement Session: Sara + Eddie

As you can imagine, it’s a zoo right about this time of year, so I’m a little behind in my blogging. But I have a few engagement sessions to share with you.

Let me introduce to you Sara and Eddie ! I have to thank one of my previous brides, Stephanie, for sending these two my way. Let me correct myself, Stephanie wasn’t actually one of my brides. But she did hire me for her wedding day as a back-up to the photographer that they had originally booked…you know…just in case

When I first met Sara and Eddie, I’ll have to admit, Eddie was a little quiet so I wasn’t sure if he liked me or not. I try to be funny, but he just wasn’t giving me anything so I wasn’t sure what was going on haha But I just assumed he was the laid back type and just let his future bride take care of booking the Photographer, like most couples do. After all, it usually is all about HER !

After rescheduling the session a few times, we finally got a chance to see each other again. So, we headed down to U of T for some fun and catching up. I had a great time with them ! I found out within the first 2 minutes that it’s not that Eddie doesn’t like me…he just doesn’t like to smile !

Sara looked as gorgeous as I remembered her when we met over coffee over a year ago. Love that smile. I tried really hard to make my boy, Eddie, show me some pearly whites ! And I almost did, as you see below. But this guy is strong like bull. My mission at the wedding is not only to capture the beauty and love that day, but also crack Eddie and get him to show me some chicklets ! You just wait…

I was kinda checking them out…and commented on how great of shape they look since I last saw them. The secret: YOGA ! At least 2-3 times a week ! Definitely something to think about if you’re looking for an alternative to the gym. I tried Hot Yoga once and I nearly died lol It was soooo hard ! These two looked fantastic !

Anyways, I’ll write more about them in their upcoming wedding this September at Palais Royale, where Cindy Johnson and I will team up again. In the meantime, here are some of my faves from our get together…
