Engagement Session: Victoria + Dave

Sunday afternoon, I met up with Victoria and Dave for their engagement session.  I couldn’t help but laugh a little when one of the first things that came out of Dave’s mouth were, “Ok, so how does this work ?”:)  I could sense he was a little nervous but that’s ok.  That’s how guys usually are.  I had to work him in slowly.  Victoria, on the other hand, was all dolled up  and ready to roll.  It truly was a walk in the park for her having experience with modelling in the past. Every angle was good from my perspective:)

I still remember the first day we met.  I was late because I got caught in a stupid fender bender due to the pouring rain that day ! I felt so bad that I kept them waiting and am so glad that they stayed.  Honestly, if it were me, I probably would have left.  But I’m very thankful that we met..got along great…booked me…and here we are — reunited this past weekend for their engagement session.  Big thanks to my good friend, Mike, from Playhouse Productions, for referring these two to me.  Mike is an awesome DJ.  He was throwing down the jams at my own wedding and we’ve been working plenty of wedding together ever since.  You should definitely hit him up if you are looking for a DJ. I highly recommend him and his crew.

Dave’s a high school Phys. Ed teacher in Scarborough and Victoria is a Chiropodist ! She looks at feet all day !  Don’t know how she does it, but God bless her !  These two have been dating for about 5 years, so I figured they are cool with making out in public — an ingredient I rely heavily on for these engagement sessions haha So, a HUGE thanks to both of them for playing along because I know they don’t really do the whole kissing in public thing.  Really, though, it’s not the kissing photos that I am after.  It’s everything before and after that I want to capture…when feelings are real.  The kissing is just a distraction so they don’t have to think about me.  I sure hope they aren’t thinking of me when they’re kissing lol That just wouldn’t be right.

We decided to hit Yorkville for their session. It was just a beautiful day and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end off my day with this session.

Apparently, Dave loves his McD fries, so we headed off across the street to do something in front the McDonalds.  This could possibly be his favorite picture of the session ! haha

I had a great time with them.  I know Victoria was excited to be blogged:)  C’mon now, who would pass up the opportunity to show off these two !  She also told me that she nearly cried when she saw my 2008 Every Wedding Slideshow. That’s very sweet.  And just for that, I will put some extra images of their wedding in my 2009 Every Wedding Slideshow:)

More of Victoria and Dave in a few months !

Beautiful pictures, it looks like you were able to put Dave at ease with the photos. Love the vibrant red on the McD’s shot.
