At the beginning of every year, I sit down and evaluate where things are with the business and family life. I am huge advocate of ‘lifestyle design’. I make sure to have a good ‘work’/life balance. So, I love to travel, spend time with friends and family, take up new hobbies and volunteer to support a cause like Oceana Ball. Not to mention I invest a lot of time to The Big Give initiative that I’ve launched since 2009. I am lucky to consider myself semi-retired![]()
When I started my business, I had decided that I did not want to become a studio with many photographers/associates trying to churn out as many weddings per year as possible. I really like to be involved with my couples during the whole wedding planning process and I think my involvement and my personal touch at each wedding is what my couples love most. My loyal readers know this as the JW Experience.
Having said that, I’m very selective on the type of couples I work with…couples I am a great fit for and visa versa. This insures that each of my couples receives the proper attention to detail from start to finish of the creative process.
To answer this this FAQ, I set myself a random $ earnings target to support my family and lifestyle or 15 weddings maximum per year, whichever comes first. Usually, I hit my $ target first.
Any questions ?
