June 7, 2008 was definitely the hottest date of the year…not just temperature wise, but I referred off over 14 weddings on this date because I was booked for this date over 20 months in advance by K+J.
I had an great time with K+J, their wedding party, and family and friends. I actually photographed weddings of two of his groomsmen over the last 2 years, so it was great seeing those two and their wives again.
The morning was pretty relaxed. When I arrived at the Brides house, she was taking a nap in her bed, while her mom was getting her hair and make-up done. As with most brides, she didn’t get much sleep the night before. But she was ready to go within a matter of hours:

The ceremony was performed by the coolest Reverend I have ever worked with and was also the shortest I’ve ever experienced. It was over in less than 15 mins according to my watch.

Here is a photo of K and Granny. Granny celebrated her 97th (yup!) birthday recently and she was all smiles and it was really beautiful to see this through my lens. Can you put a price on this photo ? These moments are priceless !

Off to the park for some quick, relaxed photos. It was a scorcher out there !

What a day ! Congratulations to K+J ! Have fun in Hawaii !
