As you may already know, I have been booking into 2010 and 2011 for quite some time now. And since last fall, I have pretty much referred off any more weddings for 2009 due to a very busy year.
Recently, some events have transpired resulting in couples canceling their 2009 wedding plans. It is unfortunate to hear about a wedding cancellation. A lot of photographers would think it’s awesome because I still keep the retainer fee and not have to ‘work’. But it’s not about making easy money. It’s about sharing my talent to document your wedding and providing you with a tangible reminder of your special day. In reality, it really is a lose-lose situation: (1) The couple is going through a real difficult time in their life and (2) I am willing and able to photograph a wedding but have no wedding lined up.
Having said that, I am now opening up more dates for 2009 to make up for the shortfall of weekends of wedding awesomeness. All remaining dates will receive my JW Signature 30-page Flush-Mount Leather album ($$$$) with their base investment in me. Collections, which start at $6500, will get even more goodies from me.
