As of right now, I am pretty much fully booked for my 2010 season, which means the new pricing for my collections will kick in very soon. I can probably squeeze in 2 more lucky couples who are interested in having me join them in the ride of their lives, but we’ll see. I may close the books for 2010 to dedicate even more time to my existing couples. It’s going to be a very exciting year next year and it starts in May 2010 with Carmen and Elton’s beautiful wedding in Florence, Italy.
I’ve been booking steadily for 2011 for a few months now and the best part about it so far is that, not only are my couples amazing, they have ALL booked their dates around my availability. I love it ! I can’t really say that this is uncommon, but it really validates what I truly believe in. And that is, choosing the photographer to document the most significant day of your lives is the most important decision of your wedding plans. More important than selecting your venue or destination.
I want to share a nice email from Karina and Mike, who decided to secure me for their wedding within 2 hours after our 2 hour ‘consultation’.

I often talk about the JW Experience. Karina and Mike had a little taste of it the other day. Today, they had more…another 1.5 hours of it. It’s awesome. They get it. They understand that selecting a wedding photographer is more than just having a beautiful portfolio and hiring someone to DO their wedding. I don’t DO weddings. I build relationships, first, and I photograph weddings, second. I can’t wait to experience their ups and downs with them during the planning process. It’s going to be a blast. You definitely need to check out their wedding in about 21 months…July 16, 2011 — mark it on your calendar !
Tomorrow, Erin and Andrew, who were looking for the same date as Karina and Mike, were given the bad news that their original date was no longer available. But they didn’t have a problem with that. Instead that opted to secure me for another date I am available for. I can’t wait to meet them tomorrow to get to know them better and discuss their wedding plans. First on the agenda is to discuss options of where to hold their wedding !
Exciting times ahead !
