Congratulations to Audrey and Ken ! They survived the most insane day of their life this past Saturday…their Wedding Day !
Saturday was just an absolute nightmare, weather-wise. Most of Toronto was under a severe thunderstorm watch and wind warnings. From the moment I woke up, it was pouring like crazy ! I haven’t seen rain come down so hard and so fast ! And it was over in 5 minutes. Then it became overcast for about an hour. Then more rain. Winds picked up and it was sunny this afternoon…about 4 times. A day like this would make any bride cry !…not Audrey, though![]()
Some of you may have seen her post comments on my blog. She’s the personal stylist to my two boys, Ethan and Brandon. She is the brainchild behind the childrens line of Joe Fresh Kids (Boys). Just amazingly talented. But most importantly, she is one of my biggest supporters. Before Ken even proposed, it was already decided that I would document their wedding. Ken’s a real cool guy. His claim to fame is a part in Kung Fu: The Legend Continues
Now he’ll be known as Audrey’s husband hehe
These two are just a bunch of kids at heart. They love making cute, funny videos everywhere they go. Whenever they travel, they make MTV Cribs episodes of their hotel rooms. Ken does a mean chinese wonton-maker impersonation. He should definitely try to pitch it to The Food Network. I’m sure they will drop to their knees dying of laughter.
The ceremony and reception was held at Palais Royale. The girls arrived there around noon to help finish setting the tables. I saw a very familiar face doing hair and make-up: Maggie Ng. She did a fantastic job again. She told me that whenever I blog my weddings with her, she gets tons of inquiries for her availability. This is awesome ! I love working with her and I’ll be working with her again real soon, I’m sure.
Audrey is one of those types who doesn’t like to be in the spotlight. She’s very humble and just doesn’t like being the centre of attention…especially the type a wedding brings. Unfortunately, the attention comes with the territory when you’re the BRIDE ! She definitely takes compliments well. Every time I, or anyone else, complimented on how beautiful she looked, her reply was, “SHUT UP ! “. I learned to accept that that is her way of saying thank you lol
She couldn’t sit still that day. As soon as she arrived, she was up and about helping and directing. Right up until she had to get prepped for hair and make-up.

She wore a custom made dress by HOA Bridal. Very classy and not poofy, which was her requirement.

Her comfy shoes from Browns:

Her flowers and centerpieces were made by Christine Ng Designs.

The flower girl, Addison, was so adorable ! She did an awesome job walking down the isle and even partied with everyone into the wee hours of the night.

Here’s a nice shot of Audrey’s “Hey, it’s pouring rain outside…again…” face.

Ya, that face in the above picture can kinda give you an idea on how most of the photos were like that day. She was super relaxed ! Below are some normal relaxed photos of her…looking gorgeous as ever !

Funny thing happened while Audrey waited for her bridesmaids custom dresses to arrive…The designer bailed ! So the girls wore whatever dresses they wanted which worked out just fine !

Another jumping shot to add to her collections of jumping shots around the world. I still think they are all crazy for wanting to do this with heels on. I’m sure it wasn’t the first time they’ve done this though. 15 frames later and there were no fatalities, phew !

A little Top Model flava for her album. Not too many people know, but she use to walk down a runway or two with me back in the day
Werk It !

Here’s the ring boy, Jonathan. Sporting some cool Chuck Taylors.

Ken wore a sleak, custom-designed black suit from GotStyle. BOSS shoes for the day and black Chuck’s for the evening.

At this point, it was looking pretty good to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony…

3 minutes later, it was called off and we headed indoors.

This was a shot that I had to share. One of Audrey’s brothers lost a ‘bet’. And here he is !

Ok, I’ve watched Tom Cruise back in the day in Cocktail. But this bartender was just absolutely amazing to watch. He was doing some mind boggling tricks and the guests were going wild !

There were no tinkling the glasses for the B+G kiss. You had to dance ! This guy really worked for his kiss ! His dance to Beyonce’s Single Ladies was just “waaaayyyyy too natural” as one of his friends said. haha It was simply amazing !

DJ Tilt laying down the tracks ! I love that he’s still spinning the 1200‘s. You can catch him at Guvernment and Dragonfly, to name a few clubs, but this guy is International ! Definitely check him out ! It was a pleasure working with him and I highly recommend him !

There was an inside joke with the asian guys wearing these fake moustaches. Most asian guys can’t grow facial hair, so they thought it’d be funny to make it happen that day.

Wow, that was a long post ! And I didn’t even get into 10% of the day’s moments.
I also want to make a special shout out to my new friend Cindy — the absolutely coolest and wildest (in a good way) Maid of Honor ever !
She made for some really interesting photo ops ! :p
Big Thanks to my crew, Eugene and Wil for helping out.
Congratulations again to Audrey and Ken. Enjoy your honeymoon in Costa Rica ! Thank you for trusting my team and I to document your wedding. It was just amazing to witness this day and I am forever grateful for your friendships.
