After months of email and telephone communication, I finally got to meet Heather and Andrew – the recipients of this years Big Give !
The three of us had lunch yesterday and we literally talked non-stop for 2+ hours. When the waitress dropped the bill on our table, we kinda got the hint. Our conversation spilled onto the sidewalk as we tried to part ways. There was way too many things to talk about and I had an amazing time getting to know them even more. We had a lot of great laughs and I must say, I was blown away when Heather started to drop some Ching-Lish (Cantonese+English talk) on me ! haha
They remind me a lot of Jeanette and I. Firstly, Andrew and I are both 6’2″ (the pic below might not depict it, but i was doing my usual crouching)…Heather and Jeanette are both 5’2″. Secondly, they compliment each other. Lastly, they love and cherish their friends and family and surround themselves with the most amazing people. They were everything I thought they’d be: funny, charming, gorgeous and so in love with each other. They are very deserving of everything that is coming their way…they have no idea what they got themselves into haha I’m so thankful that they took a chance to write a submission.
I can’t wait to see them again…the next time will be our pre-wedding photo session in the next month or so.
