About 1 year ago today, my tan was quickly fading from the weddings I photographed in FIJI and Jamaica. And it seems like the whole year was a blur to me because it just came and went. That’s how it is when you’re having the time of your life…
2008 was a record breaking year for me and by far the most fulfilling. Again, I was blessed to be asked to photograph an amazing party almost every weekend (sometimes 2 or 3 parties) and made a lot of new friends and offers from Mom’s to adopt me
I kept the traveling to a minimum and wanted to stay close to home for my out-of-town weddings this year. Ethan was really growing up fast and I didn’t want to miss much of that. My year started off with a wedding in New York (it was pretty cold in March) and I was soaked with amazing light from God at a wedding in Virginia in August.
On a personal level, Jeanette, Ethan and I welcomed our sweet, little Brandon Lucas into our family this past October — Definitely the highlight of my 2008. I still welcome the sleepless nights and having two boys in diapers.
2009 has already exceeded my expectations having hit my quota for booking in late Summer of 2008. And my travels this year will take me to places such as Jamaica (again) and Greece !!! And I’m working on Florence, Italy right now (C’mon Rhonda, hook a brotha’ up !). So, I’m really excited to what this year will bring.
Below is a slideshow I prepared with some of my faves from all my weddings in 2008. I call it “The Every Wedding Slideshow (EWS) – 2008″. It was supposed to be posted on New Year’s Day, but as you may have heard, the whole family got pretty sick and I’m finally recovering and back to ‘work’.
Thank you so much to all my couples who have invited me into their lives and trusted my team and I to document, possibly, the most significant day of your life…I am truly honored. Thank You.
Sit back…relax…it’s a long one. Please be patient as it loads…it’s worth the wait.
Enjoy !
