90% chace of rain…That’s what the weather channel said…whatever ! Gillian and Graeme had one of the most comfortable Saturdays of the summer on their wedding day. It was a gorgeous day for a gorgeous wedding. And I was super excited for them !
I started my day with the girls (as usual), while Eugene covered Graeme and the boys at his parents house. The fabulous, Karen Chen-Richardson took care of Gillian’s hair and make-up. It’s always comforting to know my brides are being well taken care of by her. She’s awesome !

Gillian wore a beautiful, Spanish-inspired San Patrick dress. I really love these dresses. Very classy and not super poofy.

Here’s a nice trick if you’re struggling to put the loops over the buttons. Use a crochet needle !

Here’s Gillian’s mom. She’s such a sweet lady. She was very excited and happy for her only daughter’s wedding.

Needless to say, we were running a little late on the bride’s side hehe…just over an hour late. I had an opportunity to work with award-winning videographer, Nancy from Calico Cat Productions. When I heard G+G booked her, I was really excited because I’ve heard so many good things about her. I don’t work with too many videographers and when I do, it’s hit or miss. Some are really unprofessional and some, like Nancy, provide a wonderful experience for everyone. I highly recommend her.
Anyways, I gave Nancy a call to let her know that we’d be running late. Since Graeme was going to be there first, I suggested that maybe it’d be nice to do a ‘first look’. I think it’s always nice to do a ‘first look’…where the two of you can just look at each other and soak it all in without your family and guests bothering you. Because of the super accurate weather forecast, we decided to head downtown for some shelter in case it rains. And of course, with my amazing luck, the clouds parted and gave Nancy, Eugene, and I a beautiful pocket of sun and we spent the majority of our relaxed portraits outside.

Gillian and Graeme are so easy to photograph, so we finsihed a little earlier to give us some extra buffer to travel up to the venue: The Manor, in Kettleby. What a beautiful ceremony it was. Gillian looked absolutely stunning when she was on her dad’s arm.

It was obvious that Gillian and Graeme were ready to get down….I was hoping to see some of their hip-hop dance moves they learned in class…but it didn’t come out when I was there, at least.

And of course…I had to squeeze in my signature photo. Love it !

Here’s an email that I received a few days after their wedding. And this is before they even saw any photos…

…that’s the JW Experience…
What an awesome day ! Congratulations again to Gillian and Graeme ! What can I say….I owe Lorraine big time for introducing you two to me. It’s too bad that she couldn’t make it to the wedding. She missed a helluva party ! Right from the start, I knew you two were a fantastic couple…and as we got to know each other better, you’re even better as friends. I wish you two nothing but joy and happiness in your bright future together…it’s time to quickly move on to the next stage of your life…giving your parents grandchildren !
Much love,
-Joee
