Wow, what a day it was on Saturday!!! It’s been about 24 hours since I got home from Jennifer+Roger’s wedding. I was just wiped today ! Took 2 naps, which I never do, and I’m still thinking about the wedding and how much fun it was ! It definitely ranks up there as the party of the year !
This wedding has been 15 years in the making
Jen+Roger have been dating since high school and I guess it’s about time, right ? It was funny watching the photo montage that was done by one of their family members. They were such good memories for everyone. Again, it just shows us how important photography is in freezing moments at a particular time of your life.
I’ve known Jen+Roger for about a year. I love getting together with them because it’s always good conversation and we totally click. They are easy on the eyes too
When I met the rest of their friends and family earlier in the day, I knew I was in for a crazy party that night ! Everyone was extremely nice and friendly and I was totally loving the vibe.
Here are some of my faves from the day. In the future, I’m going to try not to post too many images from my weddings because I received one comment from a close source that my blog is taking too long to load. Oh, well…too bad…get faster internet or surf at work
. I have to share all these:

Arriving at the church….it’s showtime !

There was only a split second to capture their first kiss as a married couple and thank God, I nailed it ! If anyone else actually caught this, I’ll give them $100
Usually the priest at least preempts it, but this came out of nowhere and lasted a nanosecond !

Time for some relaxed portraits before it rains.

I want to post a photo of Roger’s grandmother. Folks, this lovely lady is 103 years old !!!! I was just in awe when I saw her. She is such a sweet lady and was all smiles that day.

The color scheme was Tiffany blue if you couldn’t figure it out…bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, and we didn’t stop there. Check out the decor. It was pretty wild !

Here’s a cute shot of the ring boy, B, and one of the flower girls, I, who are siblings. Cute, huh ?

Their First Dance…

Jen and her girls..

Yeah, I know, eh ! Wow ! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that some of them are not married yet so I can photograph their wedding !
There were some great laughs from the speeches…it was pure jokes.

Here’s a photo of Roger and Jen thanking us during their speech. Guys, thank you for thanking us. It really means a lot. It sure beats hearing a DJ get thanked and we don’t haha It’s happened, believe it or not.

The music was great….they also had a live bongo drum player…and a belly dancer !

Cover your eyes kids
You might not be old enough to see some of the mind-bloggling undulating that was going on…

She turned out to be Roger’s cousin and a total surprise performance. It was just awesome !

And of course, us: Sandy, Kevin, Jen, Roger, Moi.

Jen and Roger…I am so incredibly thankful. Thankful to call you friends…thankful to have documented to your gorgeous wedding. Your friends and family are nothing short of amazing and spending over 12 hours with everyone was more delightful than I could have ever imagined.
Much love and appreciation.

Vendor notes:
Make-up was done by the fabulous Vanessa F., who is coming with me to a wedding in Virginia next month. She is also my Jamaica bride next July 1. After the make-up was done, she put on her Wedding Coordinator hat ! Amazing (and crazy) if you ask me.
Music was provided by Leo from Good Vibrations. He was a great guy to work with and really knew how to get the crowd going…even the older crowd.
