So, what’s with me and the Greeks ?
…two pretty big things for 2009:
1. Nadia+Zane’s Big Fat Greek Wedding: I had to write a little about this wedding because it was just funny how things turned out. Nadia came as a referral from my friend Lisa from Hello DJ. When she inquired about the date, I had to refer her off because I am photographing a sweet wedding the night before at The Ottawa Art Gallery. Throughout the process of recommending vendors to her, we got to know each other better…there was just something about her that convinced me to explore the idea of actually coming home to photograph her wedding. So, I met with Nadia for coffee…hit it off pretty darn good. There was no question we totally get each other
Nadia ‘interviewed’ me (she works in HR), gave me crap for recommending a ‘pompous ass’ photographer to her, and discussed some options on how we can make it happen. So after a day or so, we decided to make it happen – I will be flying back early in the morning for their wedding
2. Michelle+Vince’s Destination Wedding: I’ll be flying out to Santorini in October to document Michelle and Vince’s Destination Wedding !!! This is going to be quite the adventure, as I’ve never been to Greece before and we are going to have some ultra amazing photos by the time we leave ! I met Michelle, as one of the gorgeous bridesmaids, at Jennifer+Roger‘s wedding this year. I remember her coming up to me demanding that I gave her one of my business cards after I surprised everyone with a slideshow. Before I left for the night, I slipped her my card and told her that she better contact me when it’s time ! And she did…and now we’re going to have the most amazing time together in Greece and then back home here for a larger reception !
Ahhh….life is good.
