Yesterday was J+R‘s long awaited wedding at Eglinton Grand. It’s been over a year since we got together, on a cold night at Starbucks, to chat about their wedding plans. And it all came to fruition on the best weekend in April – Easter weekend.
I attended the rehearsal last Wednesday and got a chance to meet the rest of the party and the families. It was fun and I knew we were in for a good time today. Sure, they seemed a little stressed out at times, but it was all under control thanks to the help of their wedding consultant, Leah Elliott of Elan Weddings. I’ve heard lots of good things about her and I finally got the chance to work with her. She’s just awesome ! On the wedding day, I didn’t see her most of the time because she was busy doing her thing. This day went so smoothly and I highly recommend her.
These two have been keeping super busy with J working mad hours at her ‘bean counting’ job and R deciding to make a career change to become a real estate agent in this tough market. I am very confident he will do just fine. He definitely has amazing sales skills…after all, he did somehow convince J to let him have his stag in Vegas. Smoooth man, real smooth
I’m sure it was a crazy time there ! I heard two of his buddies made out to get a few girls to make out. Those are true friends, I tell ya ! I’d love to give credit where credit is due, but I think it’s best I keep their names anonymous![]()
Here’s a sneak peak of their beautiful wedding:
The tiniest dress and biggest heals ever !

R sang a pretty weak love song trying to win J over. “Thug Lovin“…yea, I think that’s what I’ll call it.

We went to The University of Toronto for some relaxed portraits before the wedding.

The ceremony was held upstairs at Eglinton Grand.

The reception:

All smiles at the end of the evening…

It was a great wedding ! I saw so many familiar faces today. May+Cos, who’s wedding I photographed back in 2007…Victoria+Timothy, who’s wedding will be coming to you soon…and my banker, Rossana, just to name a few. It’s awesome having a business that is 100% referral based. I get to see my old and new friends at least once a year.
As I was on my way out, I congratulated R’s parents. His dad told me that he noticed how hard my team and I worked that day. I thought that was awesome that he noticed. Usually the parent’s don’t really care about photography..it’s more the video that they are looking for because they are old school like that haha Anyways, I just thought that was awesome…
HUGE thanks goes out to K-Squared: Kevin and Kevin – who help me triple team this amazing wedding. They did an awesome job helping me all day and especially covering parts of the reception while I whipped together my surprise slideshow for J+R to finish off our day.
Congratulations again to J+R ! Enjoy that honeymoon ! Like your wedding, it’ll be over before you know it !
