13+ hours of coverage…3 ceremonies…killer thunderstorm…great food…amazing family and friends. That kinda sums up My Linh and Adnan’s fusion weddings this past Saturday.
I first met My Linh and Adnan at Pamela+Edward’s wedding last year where they attended as guests. According to E, once they saw my images from their wedding, they had to have me![]()
So, I met up with both of them last July and we just hit it off, like I do with most of my couples I meet. Actually, the funny thing is, Patrick and Marie told me that they heard My Linh and Adnan booked me, even before they actually left their retainer. So, I fired off an email just confirm the rumor that they had already booked me![]()
And so they did. They decided to book me for the whole week because they were still unsure where they were going to get married. Now, the original plan was to fly to Paris to get married so once they secured me, the plans were in motion. Obviously, Paris didn’t happen, but they put on one hell of a good time at one of the finest restaurants in Toronto, Canoe.
Kevin, Francis and I started our day at My Linh’s parents house, where both the Vietnamese Tea Ceremony and Islamic Ceremony took place. Tea Ceremony indoors and Islamic Ceremony outdoors. With this crazy weather we’ve been happening, we were lucky if we could escape the rain that day. Luckily, the rain was holding up for the morning ceremonies.
Here’s a peak…
A few from their Engagement Session that I didn’t have time to blog. That was a good time ! For the record, I was not yelling at them (if you were in the area and watching us)…it was more like Tough Love Relaxed Portraits 101. I just had to do whatever it took to get these two show me some teeth !!

The Vietnamese Ceremony was first up for the day…

On to the next ceremony…

After the ceremonies and a HUGE lunch, My Linh and Adnan got ready to headed downtown for some relaxed portraits before the legal Canadian ceremony. I can tell you that it wasn’t that relaxing driving from Vaughan to the downtown core that day. How should I say it…it was pissin’ rain ! It rained so much that it flooded Lakeshore Blvd (for those who know the city), which is right by the water.
My Linh wore a stunning dress by BCBG and some Juicy Couture shoes. It looked amazing on her and I could not picture her with a typical poofy dress. Maggie did an awesome job again on keeping My Linh prettied up all day and night.

We were running a little behind with the traffic in the city, so we just did some photos of them as soon as we parked the cars underground and made our way to Brookfield Place – one of the best places for indoor photos, if security doesn’t catch you![]()

I always have my trust umbrellas with me, so we took it outside for a few photos.

Once we were done our business, we headed back to Canoe for the ceremony. And wouldn’t you know it, the skies opened up and gave us a beautifully lit ceremony on the 54th Floor of TD Towers.

It’s showtime ! Let’s do this !

Thanks to the amazing help and cooperation of DJ Ian, I was able to pull of a miraculous Same Day Edit (SDE) for the guests. Most of them missed the morning ceremonies, so I put together something nice for all to see. Ian gave me the most amazing introduction ever…”Now get ready for an amazing slideshow presentation by the world famous, Joee…” . Guy, you made me blush haha Thanks for that wicked intro !
Yikes, that was a long post![]()
Big thanks for Kevin and Francis for being the MOH’s for My Linh and also my left and right hand guys. They did whatever My Linh said and were a great help![]()
Thank you to all of the Canoe staff for ensuring a wonderful dining experience for the guests, most of them being there for the first time. I saw so many familiar faces from Canoe. Joanne was running the show with Stephanie and both were fantastic, as usual. I saw Nick again, who kept the drinks and good conversation flowing to the Providers (the word Vendor is sooo 2008). I just saw Nick and Joanne a few weeks ago when I brought Jeanette and the kids there for lunch. Lynn, who was taking care of Jeanette and I on our Valentine’s Day dinner there too, so it was a nice reunion![]()
Speaking of reunion, check this out…3 of my couples and moi ! I’d like to see someone beat that !

L-R: Patrick+Marie, Adnan, Moi, My Linh, Pamela+Edward !!!
Congratulations again to My Linh and Adnan and their families. What a wonderful union of two really cool cats and amazing cultures. It was a blessing to be able to witness your special day.
