What a way to kick off my wedding season ! Last night was Part II of L+K’s wedding extravaganza. Again, they spared no expenses for this reception for 400+ of their closest family and friends. I haven’t seen L+K since FIJI…that’s because they’ve been on their honeymoon since then. We’re talking almost a 2 month honeymoon around the world ! Believe me, if it wasn’t for the weddings I had after theirs, I would have been traveling the world with them to document their amazing honeymoon
They came back last week and hit the ground running and pulled off a wonderful party. L, who owns one of the best floral shops in Chinatown, did all the floral arrangements, with the help of her matron of honor, Sylvia, who owns an extremely busy floral shop in the Forest Hill area. Here are some shots of their designs.
The reception was held at the brand new Markham Event Centre. This was the first event ever held at the luxurious facility and I was so impressed with the service and the food was AMAZING ! The Asian community was definitely in need of a more upscale venue that will rival those in Woodbridge. This is the one. I highly recommend everyone to consider M.E.C. for their special functions. I had a blast with their friends and family in FIJI and it was great seeing everyone (and more) tonight. But this will not be the last you will hear about L+K. I am their Life photographer now and I can’t wait for the babies to start comingUntil then, here are some more shots of the party last night:
They even surprised K’s mom and dad with a birthday cake for their recent birthdays:
And I was even able to convince them to give me a kiss…something that is very rare among Asian parents to do in public !!! So this is definitely a moment that will be forever cherished.
Here’s the music of the night. Dick Felix and his crew were cranking out the jazz tunes all night long. I highly recommend them !
