Wow, what an amazing moment in history we all witnessed this week as Barack Obama took the Oath of Office as the 44th President of the United States. I could not peel my eyes away from the TV. It was definitely a defining moment in our lifetime. One of his one liners really stuck in my head: “Our time for CHANGE has come…”. So, I decided to make some changes today…
It’s been over a year since I’ve actually had a website. Why did I take it down ? Well, to be honest with you there was so much traffic B-lining it to my blog that it really didn’t make sense for me to maintain my site. Everything you needed to know about me and my business was on my blog. And so the Blog-site was born.
With all the traffic going straight to the blog, it really only told me one thing: People were interested in getting to know me and what I’m all about. Yes, there were beautiful photos of the weddings I photographed almost every weekend, but a lot of people were more interested in what I was up to and what it’s really like to be around me. The photos speak for themselves. My real goal was to invite you into my life…and that’s what really motivated me to keep blogging. I firmly believe that the speed at which I was booking for my 2009 season was a direct result of my ability to connect with my couples before we even started talking about their wedding day. It’s a great feeling…
Now that I have this spankin’ new website, it doesn’t mean that I’m going to stop blogging. I have a lot to say as we head into another amazing year. As usual, I have some fantabulous couples this year and I can’t wait to introduce you all to them. I just love talking about their weddings and how much fun we all have together.
Anyways, I have to give a HUGE shout out to my amazingly talented designer, Natalie, who helped me turn my vision and brand into what you see today. Thank you so much !
Enjoy the new portfolio and the rest of the site. I’d love to hear what you think, so please feel free to leave a comment below.
