A few weeks ago, Eugene, Sandy and I photographed the most amazing wedding reception ever ! T+R threw a huge 850+ wedding reception for their family and close friends.
Back in May, T+R had their traditional Laos wedding ceremony. And on August 8, 2008, they were officially married in an intimate ceremony. And now the reception…
Here are some of my favorites from the party:
R was hanging out at his hotel room just relaxing…checking up on his boys to see where they were…and catching some US Open Tennis…

T and the girls were crammed in their 200 sq. ft. hotel room getting dolled up. It was really tight in there. At one point, there was probably 9 girls and myself packed in there !

Off to the nearby park for some relaxed portraits…

They quickly got into their traditional Laos outfits for the first half of the reception:

One of the family members performed a traditional Laos dance for everyone soon after the reception started…

Here is an image I photographed when R did his speach to his parents. T+R and I grabbed a coffee a few days beforehand to go over some parts of the itinerary and I remember talking about this part of the speech. I remember him saying how emotional one part of the speech was when he was rehearsing it. It was the part he was delivering to his mom and dad.
I thought it was a really sweet moment when his mom got off her seat to give him a hug during his speech. He was starting to lose it…but he had his two favorite women in the world up there with him. I had no idea what he was saying because it was done in the Lao language, but I felt every word of it.

Their first dance…

Their AMAZING wedding party dance ! Seriously, this was off the chain !!!! If someone posts it on youtube or something, I’m definitely going to show you.

I can’t wait to deliver their images to them so we can start working on their album. It’s going to be nothing short of amazing, that’s for sure !
