Ethan – The Artist (Part 2)

I really think Ethan may become an artist.  I see incredible bursts of creativity almost on a daily basis, much like every parent does in their own children.  I think every child has all the creative potential they would ever need to become a great artist.  However, it is also easy to”un-make” the potential artist too if the environment is not right.

At JW’s Daddy Daycare, our mission is to give the kids the right stimulation and environment in which to grow…

I started the canvas with a drawing of a tree and some grass at the bottom.  Then I took out the paint brush and 3 bowls of paint: blue, yellow, green.  I gave Ethan instructions on where the colors may belong:  blue skies, green leaves, yellow leaves, green grass…  I think he did an awesome job.  After the painting was done, I had him cut apples from a sheet we made with apple prints on it.  Then we flipped them upside down and he put drops of glue on the backs of the apples and began strategically placing them on the apple tree.

And of course, the last step was his signature.

I’m so proud of him.
