Every morning, I give Ethan his milk and then give him his breakfast and wash it down with some water at the end. He’s been clearly displaying his independence in the last few weeks, wanting to do everything himself. He knows how to use his Winnie the Pooh fork and knife set to cut his food (I gave him pancakes today) and is slowly learning to hold his cup to drink his water.
This morning, he got a little too excited to drink his water and quickly grabbed the cup from me and the inevitable happened — splooosh ! He spilled water all over his face and clothes. I can’t get his expression out of my head when he soaked himself and started gasping as if he just had a cold shower. I couldn’t stop laughing. But he was a sport letting daddy snap a few photographs before I took him upstairs for a changing.
Gotta love this kid !
