Today, my little boy, Ethan, turns 3 ! Man, those last 3 years went in the blink of an eye ! Jeanette and I still look at each other and are just amazed at how much he’s grown. We actually have real conversations with him now haha It’s amazing ! I’m so very, very blessed to be able to stay home and help raise him since he was born. This is what I’ve always wanted…a fulfilling career and being able to be at home to help raise the kids. As a result, I get to hear this every morning, “Good morning daddy…I love you !”. Man, my heart melts when I hear that.
I can’t even begin to explain how proud we are of him of his accomplishments in his last 3 years. Former child model/actor…before age 2, he already knew all his colors and shapes…at about 30 mths old, he already knew how to read and write the alphabet ! He knows how to count to 100 almost…and up to 10 in at least 4 languages (English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish) Crazy, if you ask me ! Lately, he’s been honing his painting and drawing skills for the last few months…currently, he’s working on his choreography for his favorite song, “Boom, Boom, Pow” by B.E.P. (I’ll try to post a video later). That’s just to name a few. I, personally, think one of the biggest achievements recently is being able to hold his pee during his naps ! Yes, this potty training thing is a big deal and we think he’s doing quite well. He pee’s standing up too haha Been doing that since we started the training. But he still won’t do #2 on the potty. In due time…we’re not going to rush him.

I think this was the second real snowfall of the winter for us so we took them outside. Ethan loves to try and catch snowflakes on his tongue and also try to blow the snow away.
A few days later, he comes out with his holloween costume and puts it on himself !
..So he’s a little vain…no big deal haha Everyday is a surprise for me. He’s quite entertaining !
2 nights before Ethan’s party, Jeanette and I (mainly Jeanette), put together his gift — A massive train set ! It’s crazy how train sets look like nowadays. When I was a kid, I didn’t remember seeing anything like these. It’s amazing ! When Ethan woke up, we gave him a little Thomas train, saying it was a gift from Brandon. We asked him if he wanted to go downstairs to play on his little figure 8 train set. We brought him downstairs and he saw his HUGE train set on the table. His expression was priceless !
Gotta love the “bed head”. He gave Brandon a kiss and said Thank You.
This past weekend, we threw his birthday party at our place. We could have had it this weekend, but it’s a real busy weekend. Imagine this…Ethan’s birthday, Valentine’s Day, and my birthday. That’s a lot of partying and eating ! Last year we had it at a play gym, but this year, we decided to host his birthday party at our modest home since our basement was finished and it looks like a play gym anyways. He has sooooooooooooooooooo many toys ! We had about 50 of his friends and family over. About half of them were 3 years and younger ! It was as crazy as you think it could be.

Jeanette’s amazing friend, Melissa, made the cake for Ethan !!! It was amazing ! And delicious ! We asked Ethan what kind of cake he wanted. At first he said he wanted a tractor trailer ! We had no idea what kinda party theme we could have went with with that one haha Trailer Park ? Luckily, he changed his mind and said Trains. Melissa took the theme and ran with it. She totally exceeded our expectations for a train cake ! She even made cake lollipops ! Yup, exactly what it sounds like ! I highly recommend her for anything ! Parties, retirements, baptisms, weddings, …anything ! If you want her contact info, please let me know.
