My weekdays aren’t exactly uneventful during this time of year. I’m still very busy fulfilling orders and doing album designs, but I do get out of the house (thank god!). You see, every week, Jeanette and I take Ethan out to her mommy group. They call themselves the Desperate Housewives
. Yup, I hang out with them ! Today was probably one of the last get togethers before Jeanette goes back to work so I thought I’d treat them to a little lunch for being so kind to invite me into their group. They call me the cool daddy/photographer. Today, I was the cool daddy, photographer, and Take Home Chef and made everyone lunch.
I’m very fortunate to be able to spend lots of time with Jeanette and Ethan and help raise him. It is a lot of work being a mom, as I have learned, and I thought I’d try to pamper the girls a little bit today because they all deserved it. They are all such great moms and spending time with them really makes me appreciate mothers even more. It’s so nice to have a group to lean on when you have a question or concern because everyone is in the same boat. It’s a great time watching all the kids play and grow up together. I have actually photographed 3 of the other kids already when they were little tykes, and to see them now…it’s just awesome.
And if you haven’t told your mom in a while, tell her that you love her. I think she would absolutely be thrilled to hear it.

In about a month or so, most of the moms will be heading back to work, which means I will be searching for a new mommy group that hopefully will let this cool daddy/photographer/chef into their circle. The search begins….now.
