If you’ve been reading the blog like a good stalker, you’ll recall that I recently participated in an ongoing awareness campaign for the Ontario Medical Association. I was cast for the most recent print ad and commercial.
Last week, the print ads rolled out to the subway stations in and around Queen’s Park, Toronto. My image, along with a few others, were plastered all over the ticket booths and huge billboards underground. Well, that’s what I’ve heard and seen as I have been receiving emails from people attaching images of the ads. I have yet to see for myself and am planning ride the transit to get a photo with myself for my personal journal haha
When I was approached for this campaign, I was actually interviewed for the part. So, this was not like a cattle call for those represented by the local modeling and talent agencies. I actually had a real story to share about my strong connection with my family physician. The goal of this campaign was to help create awareness and celebrate the good things that Doctors are doing for people in Ontario. It’s all about real people with real life scenarios with real, wonderful relationships with their Ontario doctors. We are very lucky to have the kind of health care system that most countries dream of.

The OMA would love to hear your opinions on Health Care. If you have a moment, I would love for you to take some time and complete their online survey. By doing so, you will assist them in continuing being in the forefront of building a stronger, higher quality health-care system for US, and ensuring valued and effective roles for physicians in the system.
Thank you to the Nancy|OMA and Janet|McMillan Agency for the awesome experience and asking me to share my story. Congratulations on another successful campaign !
